[ui!] UrbanPulse at CES
Las vegas / CES Jan 2016 - Together with NXP and Microsoft, [ui!] provided the visualisation of smart city sensor signals, including the use of RFID tags at traffic lights for school children, elderly and handicapped. The long range RFID tag will communicate with the traffic light to provide a longer green signal and sent a warning to cars. The device to vehicle and device to Infrastructure are important next steps to make the roads safer and move to a demand based traffic management rather than run signals on a cycle. The latter will increase efficiency and together with other measures can improve traffic flow. On the picture you see Oliver Rolle, from [ui!] Germany, demonstrating the UrbanPulse cockpit at the NXP stand.
