[ui!] and INRIX expand their co-operation

[ui!] and INRIX expand their cooperation to include live traffic data for small and medium-sized municipalities

INRIX Karte RTT

[ui!] and INRIX are intensifying their collaboration and agreeing on a strategic cooperation to provide nationwide traffic and parking data in the open urban data platform [ui!] UrbanPulse - and at an unbeatable price: For less than 25 cents per inhabitant per year (plus one-off set-up fees), municipalities with 25,000 inhabitants or fewer can offer their citizens the same real-time traffic information that was previously only available to large cities.

The [ui!] COCKPIT, a central component of the open urban platform [ui!] UrbanPulse, can be used to map the traffic situation on the main road network in real time. Time lost due to traffic jams and disruptions on important routes is displayed directly, so that drivers can now choose alternative routes and thus relieve the congested routes.

PXL 20240814 0848098492This cooperation marks an important milestone for [ui!]'s smart city solutions. Traffic data from sensors has been a key topic since the platform was launched, and with the integration of floating car data (FCD), [ui!] has continuously built up high-quality data sets for AI-supported analyses since 2018. With INRIX as a partner, the portfolio is now being expanded to include comprehensive and continuously updated live traffic data.

But that's not all: in addition to traffic data, local authorities now also have access to information on car parks, for the most part with up-to-date occupancy data. This means that [ui!] UrbanPulse covers over 80% of all closed car parks in Germany in one fell swoop - an invaluable advantage for local authorities that are unable to access such data sources independently.

The particular advantage of these new solutions lies in their simple integration: local authorities do not need to install any additional sensors or create any technical requirements in order to utilise the new services. This significantly reduces the barriers to entry and enables cities, municipalities and districts to implement data-based solutions quickly and easily and emphasises the commitment of [ui!] and INRIX to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions for municipalities of all sizes.
